ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The schedule for this position may vary weekly, hours scheduled between 30-40 each week during standard business hours. The standard business hours are 8:00am-4:30pm Monday through Friday. This position is perfect for someone who does well with a flexible work schedule.

QUALIFICATIONS

2+ years 12V experience installing and/or repairing Vehicle Lighting & Equipment

Automotive mechanical / electrical experience

Strong Problem Solving & Analytical Skills

Strong attention to detail & organizational skills

Communication skills and ability to work in a team environment

Ability to complete and submit paperwork in a timely manner

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

This job is for an Onsite & Mobile Installer - The Installer will work at our Warehouse Location in Sarasota Florida and on-site at Customer Locations (company vehicle used for Onsite Customer Installations) Primary responsibilities are installing, testing, repairing, and removing 12 Volt vehicle equipment, including, but not limited to light bars, flashers, sirens, radios, speakers, antennas, routers, video cameras, laptops, printers, consoles and more.

This will include working on new vehicles, upgrading existing vehicles and servicing prior installations.

Install, test, troubleshoot and repair 12-volt emergency equipment and lights.

Install electrical wiring, connect electrical fittings, drill holes, soldering and perform all physical tasks associated with modifying vehicles for the acceptance of emergency-related equipment.

Develop wiring routes throughout the vehicle for the most efficient wiring path and enable future replacement and/or troubleshooting.

Continuous learning in new products, skill techniques from colleagues and manufacturers.

Work under cover in outdoor environment

Solder, use hand tools and power tools

Interact with customers as needed

Moderate physical activity will be required frequently. Position requires ability to frequently lift/move objects of up to 70 pounds in weight.

This position requires the ability to sit for extended periods, & frequent pushing, pulling, pinching, gripping, reaching over head, reaching away from body, & repetitive motions. Standing, walking, kneeling, stooping, bending, lifting, & squatting also will be required as necessary to perform the duties of the position.
